FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything we get asked — what ForeBuild is, what it isn't, and how NSW material suppliers use it. If your question isn't here, email info@forebuildaustralia.com.

What ForeBuild is — and isn't
What is ForeBuild?

ForeBuild is a construction data intelligence platform for material suppliers. We monitor NSW Development Applications (DA), Construction Certificates (CC), and Complying Development Certificates (CDC) from official NSW Government planning sources, and AI-extract the material demand inside each one — so you see which approved projects need your product, with builder contacts attached, before your competitors do.

NotIs ForeBuild a lead-generation marketplace?

No. We don't sell shared leads or enquiries. ForeBuild is a filtered feed of public government planning data — every approved project that matches your material categories, with the builder's details attached. The signal comes from the approval itself, not a resold enquiry.

NotIs ForeBuild a builder directory?

No. Builder contacts in ForeBuild are attached to specific approved projects, so you reach out with context — the project, the suburb, the materials specified — instead of cold-calling a directory.

NotIs ForeBuild a CRM or quoting tool?

No. We don't handle quoting, invoicing, or pipeline management. ForeBuild tells you which NSW projects need your materials and who's building them — you run the relationship in your own tools.

NotDoes ForeBuild guarantee sales?

No. We provide intelligence, not guarantees. ForeBuild shows you the demand — it's up to you to reach out, quote, and win the order.

NotIs ForeBuild a construction company?

No. ForeBuild Pty Ltd is a software company — we build data tools for the construction industry, we don't build buildings.

What ForeBuild IS

A construction data intelligence platform for material suppliers. We monitor NSW Government planning approvals — DAs, CCs and CDCs — and AI-extract the material demand inside each one, so suppliers see which approved projects need their product, with builder contacts attached, before competitors do.

How it works
How does ForeBuild actually work?

Three steps:

1. We capture every approval. Every day, ForeBuild reads every DA, CC and CDC published across NSW councils. Every project, every suburb — updated daily.

2. AI reads the documents. Claude extracts what's inside each one — materials specified, project scope, storeys, units, and builder details — as structured material flags.

3. Your feed, filtered. You see the approvals that match your material categories, with the builder's contact attached. No cold searching required.

How early do I see demand?

From the day the approval is published. Most suppliers hear about a project when the builder finally calls around for quotes — ForeBuild puts you in front of the builder while they're still planning procurement, often weeks or months earlier.

Where does the data come from?

Official NSW Government planning sources — the NSW ePlanning Open Data API and council planning registers. It's public data; ForeBuild's value is reading it at scale and extracting the material demand inside each approval.

Where do the builder contacts come from?

Builder contacts are sourced from the approval documentation itself and verified against NSW licence records. They're currently available on roughly 55% of approvals.

Which councils and areas does ForeBuild cover?

We collect approvals statewide, across all NSW councils. AI document extraction — pulling out the material detail — is most thorough in Greater Sydney, the Hunter, and the Central Coast, and coverage expands weekly.
